Barbod Khaleghi
Barbod is currently in his gap year before starting medical school in the fall of 2026. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Neurobiology and a minor in Psychology.
Prior to joining the Paralysis Center, Barbod worked across a wide variety of fields, including oncological clinical research, reproductive health wet labs, and biotech. Eventually, his passion for groundbreaking research brought him to Dr. Brown’s lab, where he now works on numerous clinical and translational research studies focused on reconstructive neurosurgery. His role includes coordinating studies, assisting with protocol development, patient recruitment, data collection, and more. He hopes to always continue integrating research and innovation into his future career as a physician.
